Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Flexibility in undertaking a variety of assignments and tasks
• Collaborative spirit with a willingness to learn
• Attend newsroom meetings
• Research stories for digital and linear platforms
• Gather video elements
• Assist in transcribing interviews
• Support reporters and producers

Internship Details

• Each internship is for 20-30 hours per week for up to 12 weeks
• You will get the opportunity to work at DC News Now in the News Department. This is to help you understand how a TV station is run and how content, including sports content, is developed and shared on all platforms (digital and linear).
• Interns will be supervised by the manager and participate in a meaningful learning experience.
• This is an unpaid internship, and the Intern is not entitled to wages or any compensation or benefits for the time spent in the internship.
