Shifts: Monday-Thursday 8:30am - 6pm, Friday 8am - Noon, on call, callback, and holidays as per unit needs. **On Call: 2-3 shifts per month**

Key Responsibilities of the X-Ray Technologist
- Verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders before procedures.
- Use x-ray equipment to capture images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs.
- Explain procedures and answer patient questions.
- Position patients, including those with limited mobility.
- Handle radiologic equipment safely and properly.
- Observe and interpret age-specific patient needs.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
- Notify management of equipment issues promptly.
- Utilize electronic systems to verify patient information accurately.
- Maintain patient records and ensure images are sent correctly to the PACS system.
Requirements of the X-Ray Technologist
- Completion of formal training in Radiologic Technology and ARRT Certification.
- New York State license or ability to obtain before starting.
- Two years of X-ray Technologist experience.
- Level 1 trauma center experience.
- Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Patient and compassionate disposition.
- Ability to report within 30 minutes to on call shifts.
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Experience using c-arm/o-arm in the past 8 months.
- Recent OR experience at a trauma 1 center.
