About the PositionJob Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: MSP Specialty: Agency Staff Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 or 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field ARRT certification in Radiography Description: The role includes performing routine and specialized orthopedic X-rays. Ensuring accurate imaging is essential. Maintaining patient safety is a primary focus. Supporting clinical workflows within a fast-paced orthopedic environment is required. Collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and advanced practice providers is expected. Timely imaging and excellent patient service are essential. Adherence to regulatory and quality standards is mandatory. The position may involve floating between different orthopedic settings. Shift times include variations that may require flexibility. Weekend rotation will occur every 12th weekend on Saturday only. On-call duties are not required. Responsibilities include coordinating and performing diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures. Executing physicians' orders accurately is crucial. Assuring imaging equipment is accounted for at the beginning and end of shifts is necessary. General diagnostic radiology procedures will be performed utilizing standardized techniques. Patient identification and order verification must be completed meticulously. Preparation of patients for procedures will involve providing clear instructions. Minimizing patient anxiety and ensuring cooperation is important. Protection of patients from radiation exposure through appropriate safety measures is required. Maintaining imaging equipment and notifying management of malfunctions falls under this role. Evaluation of images for technical quality is necessary. Images must be pushed to the appropriate electronic systems for patient records. Assignments will involve routine procedures. Close supervision will guide day-to-day work and problem resolution. Physical demands include lifting and carrying moderate weights.
