Technician / Technologist Location: Ridgewood, NJ Agency: Pride Health Pay: $33 to $39 per hour Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pride Health is hiring a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Ridgewood, NJ. This is a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Responsibilities: Perform ophthalmic testing and patient assessments Obtain visual acuity, medical history, vitals, and medication review Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures Conduct diagnostic testing including: OCT & Fundus Photography Visual Fields/HVF Tonometry Retinoscopy Keratometry Lensometry Optical Biometry Educate patients on medications, contact lens care, and discharge instructions Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment Maintain accurate documentation and chart preparation Requirements: Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) preferred Minimum 1–2 years of ophthalmology experience Current BLS certification Current NJ license or Compact license required at submission COVID-19 vaccination booster required Flu vaccination required Non-certified candidates may be considered at a reduced rate. Local candidates accepted (within 75 miles at adjusted rate) Additional Information: Location: Ridgewood, NJ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Pay Range: $33/hr to $39/hr Start: 06/15/2026 OR 06/22/2026 *Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
