Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 5x8s (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, occasionally 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM) or 4x10s (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM) based on clinic needs | No call requirement | No weekend requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver external beam radiation therapy treatments, including IMRT, to patients in a clinical oncology setting
• Operate and maintain Varian linear accelerators and perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging for tumor localization and patient positioning
• Utilize beam modifying and positioning devices including wedges and custom molds; apply custom shields as needed
• Perform CT simulation and assist with simulation of treatment sites in coordination with on-site physicians and nursing staff
• Float between two regional clinical sites within the Wilmington, NC coastal area based on volume and coverage needs
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols, isolation precautions, and participate in storm or disaster response teams as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience required
• Active ARRT (T) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with Varian systems (21 EX/IX, True Beam) and ARIA treatment management software
• Experience with CT simulation, IMRT, external beam therapy, and CBCT/kV/mV imaging
• Active North Carolina license or compact license (pending acceptable for submission)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Pinnacle (Philips) and/or Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning systems
• Familiarity with PET scan, MRI, and adult acute care environments
• Experience with lift/transfer devices and use of rapid response or code teams
