Physical Therapy Assistant Location: Burke, VA Agency: Jackson Therapy Partners Pay: $1,259 to $1,459 per week Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP
About the PositionMake a real difference as a travel PTA in Burke, VA. You will work with patients recovering from injuries or illness in an outpatient setting, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Start as soon as available to support clinic operations and patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Virginia PTA license required to start the assignment.
- BLS Certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred.
- Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and patient mobility training, including gait training, assistive devices, and functional skills training.
- Ability to implement treatment goals and document patient progress according to facility policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using modalities such as ultrasound, TENS, whirlpool, paraffin, and therapeutic pool.
- Prior experience working within a multidisciplinary team and participating in quality improvement projects.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule.
- Reported clinic schedule: Monday 6:30–12:30; Tuesday/Thursday 9:00–19:00; Wednesday 6:30–15:00; Friday 7:00–15:30.
- Outpatient setting. Candidate may be expected to follow facility policies for safety, infection control, and documentation.
