Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Abilene, Texas.

Schedule & Logistics

• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 – 16:00)
• Start Date: June 15, 2026 (Strongly preferred)
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Requirements: No call, no weekends, no holidays.
• Time Off: RTO must not exceed 2-3 consecutive weekdays.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in the service line. Pediatric experience is strongly preferred.
• Licensure: License must be in hand at the time of submittal.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Charting: Altera preferred; any community hospital charting experience accepted.
• Travel History: Previous travel experience preferred.

• Drug Screen: The facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival. This includes Marijuana and CBD products. A positive result triggers automatic cancellation.
• Vaccines: COVID-19 not required. Flu vaccine is required (Medical/Religious exemptions only).
• Local Radius: RNs living within 150 miles are not accepted.
• Returning Staff: Former permanent staff must be away for at least 1 year.

• Setting: Outpatient/Ambulatory Surgery Center.
• Skills: Phase I PACU, Pre-Post, Conscious Sedation, Airway Management, Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol.
• Patient Types: ENT, Ortho, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Pediatric patients (Tonsillectomy, etc.).
