Job Description & Requirements Specialty: MRI Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 08/24/2026 Duration: 4 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description & Requirements MRI Technologist - (MRI Tech) StartDate: 8/24/2026 Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2587.00 - $2666.00 The MRI Tech is responsible for daily modality operations. They perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) according to established protocols and works closely under the direction of the Radiologist and other physicians. Essential Functions: Knowledge in workflows, procedures, operation, and processes of the MRI imaging modalities. Applies principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patient, self, and others. Confirms the quality and accuracy of all pertinent patient and procedural data. Selects proper MRI pulse sequences and scan parameters according to established protocols. Contributes to the training and education of new staff and assists in oversight of MRI students. Provides direct patient care and instructions before, during, and after procedure. Performs IV injections and administers magnetic contrast agents specific to procedure. Troubleshoots equipment during malfunction in absence of service engineer and reports malfunction to radiology maintenance/supervisor. Education: Associate's from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute (preferred) Licensure/Certification: Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Diagnostic Radiology with Advanced MRI Registry (MR) (required, or must within one year of hire) Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required prior to direct patient care) Experience: 1 year of experience in MRI department in hospital setting (preferred) EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred) Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) (preferred) Required Qualifications MRI Technologist, Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience: 1 year Certifications: MR(Copy Needed); BLS(Copy Needed) SSN Required DOB Required References: 2 References in entire work history Preferred Qualifications 1 year of experience in MRI department in hospital setting (preferred) EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred) Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) (preferred) Facility Location Located in southwestern Ohio and nestled along the banks of the Mad River, Springfield is a charming city with a unique flair.
