Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Transplant OR
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Shift: Days – 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with strong liver transplant experience to join a high-acuity transplant operating room team at a leading academic medical center. The ideal candidate must be able to independently scrub liver transplant recipient procedures and have recent transplant experience within the last two years.
Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist during complex transplant and general surgical procedures.
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies.
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
- Assist surgeons during liver, kidney, pancreas, and other transplant surgeries.
- Support multidisciplinary surgical teams in a teaching hospital environment.
- Float to General OR and pediatric transplant cases as needed.
Required Qualifications
- NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 3 years of Surgical Tech experience
- Recent liver transplant experience within the last 2 years
- Ability to independently scrub liver transplant recipient cases (Required)
- Teaching hospital experience required
Preferred Experience
- Kidney, pancreas, and lung transplant procedures
- Thoracic, Urology, Gynecology, Plastics, and General Surgery
- Whipple procedures and Liver Resections
- Free Flap and Microvascular cases
- Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery experience
- Trauma and high-acuity surgical environments
