Job Description Job Summary: The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammography imaging procedures necessary for diagnostic evaluation. They ensure patient safety, provide education, and comply with regulatory standards to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. Responsibilities: Operate mammography equipment accurately following departmental protocols and manufacturer guidelines. Maintain compliance with FDA regulations and facility accreditation standards. Conduct routine quality assurance (QA) and preventive maintenance on imaging equipment. Educate patients about the mammography procedure, verifying medical histories, and obtaining informed consent. Document patient information, imaging details, and procedural charges accurately in electronic health records. Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with service engineers for repairs when necessary. Qualifications: Hold ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M). Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Have at least two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with mammography expertise. Demonstrate strong knowledge of mammography imaging techniques and radiation safety standards.
