Description
Overview Responsible for the coordination of work, scheduling of employees and oversight of workflow and coordination of processes and accountability. Position typically is responsible for the work of four or more employees, has direct influence over the hiring, training, coaching, accountability and counseling for employees under their supervision. Responsibilities Accomplish deliverables by planning, monitoring, and appraising job results of employees under direct management. Develop employees through coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Provide weekly protected supervision (at least 1 ½ hrs. each) to direct service staff to include Clinical, Administrative and Reflective components. Reviews all staff documentation and data entry to ensure compliance with program policies and Healthy Families Best Standards. Provides coaching and feedback on strength-based approaches and interventions used in home visiting; guiding cultural sensitivity practices, identifying areas of growth, boundary issues, and integrating training into practice and more. Routine review of assessments and assessment records (i.e. FGP, ASQ, PHQ-9, CHEERS Check-In etc.). Supporting parent-child interaction work & CHEERS observations, family progress and level changes. Provide guidance on use of curriculum and integrating the results of assessments. Implements QA measures as required to ensure quality service delivery including: observation of home visits, participant satisfaction surveys, case record reviews etc. (Based on HFA Best Practice Guidelines). Assess staff growth & development and training needs regularly. Regular review of data including: timely documentation, achievement of performance targets, HV Rates, engagement, retention and all documentation used by the site to monitor productivity. Support and assist staff in a team effort to provide program activities and special projects related to outreach and engagement. Attend required trainings, meetings, and collaborate with consumers and service providers to establish and maintain linkage agreements. Maintain safe and clean work environment, educate staff and those supported. Provide weekend or late-night coverage to staff as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Master's degree in human services or fields related to working with children and families. or Bachelor's degree with three (3) years of relevant experience. Experience: Experience with family services that embrace the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision. Experience in providing services to culturally diverse communities/families. Experience in home visitation with a strong background in prevention services to the 0-3 age population. Knowledge and Skills: A solid understanding of and/or experience in supervising and motivating staff, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments Knowledge of infant and child development and parent-child attachment Knowledge of maternal-infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect Ability to direct and oversee the work of others is required. Ability to fully utilize the program's data base, office equipment and other systems relevant to the position. Licenses, Certifications: Infant Mental Health Endorsement (if available) Physical Requirements: Ability to work in the community, conducting outreach, observing direct service staff (at least quarterly), and participating in selected community initiatives. Position requires prolonged periods of standing, reaching, walking throughout the working day. Position will be required to stoop, bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
