Description
Kankakee Country Club is seeking a Steward! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.Pay:
$14 - $18
Essential Duties:
- Washes and sanitizes: China, glass, silver, cooking equipment, and tools, both in a dish machine or by hand.
- Assists in stocking and rotating incoming food and beverage products.
- Assists in basic food preparation as assigned by the Chef or Food & Beverage Manager.
- Empties kitchen trash receptacles and properly disposes of garbage.
- Stores all dishes and other wares in proper areas.
- Performs daily cleaning to include, but not limited to, dry storage, walk-in shelving, steam tables, hoods, and the exhaust system.
- Maintains sanitation standards in assigned areas.
- Sweeps and mops floors.
- Alerts the chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdown.
- Follows safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
No prior experience or training required.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, and reaches with hands and arms. Regular communication required. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, tastes, or smells. Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
Frequently works in extreme heat (non-weather), in areas with moving mechanical parts, and with toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather). Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
Applicable Sanitation Training.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Ability to communicate in English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job, including reading equipment manuals, following direction from leadership, and communicating with coworkers and guests/members.
