Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
Create tailored treatment strategies addressing immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
Provide individualized speech therapy interventions that concentrate on various aspects of speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Partner with other healthcare professionals—such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members—to formulate comprehensive care plans.
Educate patients and their families to foster progress beyond clinical sessions.
Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to promote continuity of care.
Ensure thorough and up-to-date documentation compliant with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
Engage in ongoing professional development and peer discussions to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups, with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Ability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Demonstrated clinical judgment, reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
