Job Description Summary

• Work with an incredible team of people Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Service Support Manager. As a Service Support Manager, you will have two direct reports; the Parts Manager and the Administrative Assistant. The Service Support Manager will work hand in hand with the Service Manager (who manages the shop and yard foreman) but will report directly to the PCM and have the authority to make purchasing decisions and other business based decisions.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains fleet files and DOT compliance for both Rental and Non-Rental FleetSchedules PM and DOT inspections on both Rental and Non-Rental Fleet (like trucks)Performs Safety Coordinator responsibilities in regards to DOT FleetManages the Parts Manager, approving parts purchasing and ordering, etc.Conducts DOS with drivers on a monthly basisManages the warranty recovery processConducts reviews of closed work orders to ensure warranty opportunity has not been missedCatalogs warranty parts for validation on manufacturer's requestMaintains compliance with manufacturers issued services bulletinsManages the customer damage process to include:Preparing damage letters to send to customers and sending themMaintains photographic and physical evidence relating to customer damageDirects the supply of parts to shop mechanics, other branches and customersScreens and prioritizes service calls to meet customer needsWorks hand in hand with equipment vendors to learn maintenance requirements and capabilities of new equipment added to inventoryTrains shop foreman on new equipmentCollaborates with Service Manager and Shop Foreman to schedule factory training and technical diagnosis on equipmentQUALIFICATIONS:Valid driver's licenseExtensive experience in the repair and maintenance of AWP equipmentKnowledge of work planning and scheduling and other supervisory activitiesStrong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements.Clear perspective of maintenance and repair issues in the industryPlanning and management experienceComputer literacyReporting and warranty management experienceInventory and parts management experienceThe physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Base Pay Range: $64,750.00 - 89,030.70
