Description
Phoenix Country Club is excited to announce the career opportunity of Servers for our property. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.Job Summary
The Server is responsible for providing exceptional dining service to club members and their guests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. Servers at the country club uphold high standards of hospitality, food presentation, and service while creating a welcoming and refined dining experience consistent with the club's traditions and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet members and guests promptly and courteously, using member names when possible
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with club standards and proper etiquette
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns
- Ensure tables are properly set, maintained, and cleared
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service areas
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
- Handle payments, member charges, and point-of-sale systems accurately
- Assist with banquets, private events, and special club functions as needed
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and service staff to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred (country club or fine dining a plus)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of proper dining etiquette and service techniques
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must possess an Arizona Food Handler Card
