Remote | Full-Time | Operations Safety & Readiness
Aviation Safety Solutions is seeking a highly organized, technically skilled, and safety-focused professional to support a growing Operations Safety & Readiness program supporting advanced autonomous vehicle operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced operational environments, understands Safety Management Systems (SMS), and can balance technical documentation, operational coordination, and safety program execution.
The Senior Safety Systems & Operations Lead will serve as a trusted operational partner across safety initiatives, investigations, reporting systems, documentation management, and operational readiness efforts. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting high-priority safety initiatives with professionalism and sound judgment.
This is a remote position requiring availability Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Program & Operational Support
- Serve as a primary support resource to Operations Safety & Readiness leadership
- Coordinate schedules, deliverables, documentation, and follow-up actions
- Assist in execution of operational safety initiatives, reviews, and leadership requests
- Support cross-functional coordination across safety and operational teams
Safety Documentation & Manual Management
- Maintain and update operational safety manuals, procedures, and controlled documentation
- Manage version control, approvals, formatting, and distribution processes
- Ensure documentation aligns with evolving operational and regulatory expectations
- Support maintenance of General Operations Manuals and associated safety materials
Safety Reporting & Event Coordination
- Support intake, organization, and tracking of safety reports
- Assist with triage and escalation coordination for operational safety events
- Maintain organized tracking systems for actions, outcomes, and corrective measures
Incident & Investigation Support
- Support incident investigations through documentation review, evidence organization, and timeline development
- Assist in preparation of investigation summaries and corrective action documentation
- Maintain audit-ready investigation records and supporting materials
Operational Readiness & Continuous Improvement
- Track safety actions and readiness tasks through closure
- Prepare leadership summaries, briefing materials, and operational reports
- Identify opportunities to improve safety processes, workflows, and documentation systems
- Provide surge support during high-tempo operational periods and special projects
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent operational experience
- 5+ years of experience in aviation, transportation safety, emergency management, operations, or related field
- Working knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Strong technical writing, documentation management, and organizational skills
- Experience coordinating multiple projects and operational priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and collaborative technology platforms
