Are you passionate about food quality and committed to maintaining high standards? Adecco Staffing is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for a growing food manufacturing company in Lowell, MA. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity that offers long-term career potential, hands-on experience, and the chance to play a key role in ensuring exceptional product quality and food safety.
What You'll Do
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll be responsible for ensuring soups, sauces, and other products consistently meet quality and food safety standards before reaching customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine quality testing on products, including consistency, pH levels, particulate distribution, appearance, and other quality attributes.
Inspect products prior to packaging to ensure compliance with established standards.
Support the development and maintenance of quality standards related to flavor, texture, appearance, and overall product consistency.
Maintain accurate quality records, test results, and documentation of corrective actions.
Partner with Quality Assurance, R&D, and Production teams to investigate quality concerns and improve processes.
Identify non-conformances and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.
Monitor trends, report quality concerns, and communicate findings to management.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance product quality, consistency, and operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify product variations and inconsistencies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable using computers and maintaining electronic records, including Microsoft Excel and QA systems.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, SQF, or related quality systems is a plus.
Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred.
Previous Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in food manufacturing is highly preferred.
Experience working with soups, sauces, or similar food products is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production facility for extended periods.
Frequent lifting, reaching, bending, and handling of materials and products.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, machinery noise, and food allergens.
Must be able to wear appropriate PPE, including hearing protection.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
