Duties:
- Assist licensed mental health professionals in delivering evidence-based therapeutic activities, including art therapy sessions that promote self-expression and emotional healing.
- Support clients with medication management by monitoring adherence and reporting any concerns related to psychopharmacology treatments.
- Engage clients in gender issues counseling, facilitating open discussions that promote understanding and acceptance of diverse identities.
- Observe and document client progress, behavioral responses, and participation during therapy sessions to inform treatment plans.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment by adhering to confidentiality protocols and safety procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, ensuring holistic support for each individual's unique needs.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices in behavioral health interventions and therapeutic techniques.
- Conduct group therapy sessions and provide case management support.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of art therapy techniques to enhance emotional expression and healing processes.
- Familiarity with psychopharmacology principles to support medication-related aspects of client care.
- Experience or training in gender issues counseling, demonstrating sensitivity and understanding of diverse gender identities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive information with professionalism.
- Energetic, motivated, and compassionate approach to supporting individuals facing mental health challenges.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations while remaining focused on client safety and well-being.
- Case Management experience required.
- Experience conducting group therapy sessions required.
