Why Wausau?
Wausau punches well above its size. Nestled in Central Wisconsin, it offers four-season outdoor recreation — skiing, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking — alongside an authentic, tight-knit community. Your dollar goes further here. Your kids grow up outside. Your commute is measured in minutes, not hours.
When you do want a city fix, Minneapolis is three hours away and Chicago four — close enough for a weekend, far enough to feel like an escape. And for travel beyond that, Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA) puts direct flights right in your backyard, so you're not burning half a day just getting out of town.
If you've been romanticizing small-city life while grinding in a major metro, this is the real thing.
Who We're Looking For
Skilled IR physicians willing to be a solid team player. Comfortable with basic DR skills to cover CT, US, X-rays when on a diagnostic rotation. No need to read Mammo, MRI unless you have interest.
A physician who wants to plant roots — someone who values autonomy, collegiality, and the kind of work-life integration that lets you be present for the things that matter inside and outside the reading room.
