Description
Babcock National HOA INC is seeking a Prep Cook! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.Essential Duties:
- Follows recipes and/or product directions for proper food preparation
- Maintains quality control for all products, including monitoring the freshness of the product daily
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart
- Prepares appropriate equipment for cooking
- Operates kitchen utensils and/or equipment used for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing, assembling, and kneading of food products
- Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking the temperature of products
- Receives and inventories food and beverage products and supplies
- Cleans and sanitizes the workstation and equipment.
- Ability to perform any other duties as assigned by the Department Manager
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes, and smells. Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
Food Safety and Sanitation Training
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
The ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may need to communicate with English-speaking customers or coworkers, and the manuals for the equipment they use are in English).
