Provide essential pharmacy services as a Staff Pharmacist supporting an HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy. This per diem opportunity offers flexible coverage dates through the summer and holiday season, including coverage for sick calls. The role involves key retail pharmacy duties, ensuring accurate medication dispensing and effective supervision of pharmacy technicians. Key Responsibilities: Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions with attention to detail Verify prescription accuracy and patient medication profiles Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain operational efficiency Utilize Pioneer Rx software to process prescriptions and manage pharmacy workflows Support specialty HIV/AIDS medication management; prior experience with HIV/AIDS medications is a valuable asset Qualifications and Experience: Active Kentucky pharmacist license in good standing (required) Proven retail pharmacy experience; specialty pharmacy background preferred Familiarity with Pioneer Rx or similar pharmacy management systems Strong knowledge of medication therapies, especially in HIV/AIDS treatment (highly desirable) Excellent communication and organizational skills Location: Louisville, Kentucky Schedule: Per diem hours with specific coverage dates needing support: Wednesday 5/13: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Thursday 5/14: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Friday 5/15: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Potential for 4 hours of paid training prior to coverage dates This assignment presents a great opportunity to contribute to critical patient care while maintaining flexibility.
