Location: Albany, NY Category: Research Foundation Careers Job Type: Full-time Posted On: Thu May 7 2026 Job Description:The Child Research and Study Center is an official university-based educational research center dedicated to improving student outcomes across academic and developmental domains. For decades, the center has sustained federal, state, and foundation funding to design, evaluate, and scale evidence-based practices focused on social-emotional and behavioral health literacy development?areas widely shown to be interconnected in promoting student success. Through partnerships with schools, communities and state agencies, the center advances inclusive approaches that support all learners, including students with disabilities, while contributing to the research base, professional development, and policy guidance needed to improve educational systems at scale.
This work is supported by the Preschool Development Birth through Five Initiative (PDG B-5) Grant Number 90TP0130-02-00, from the Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in contract with the New York State Council on Children and Families.
Essential Functions
The NYS Pyramid Model Statewide Coordinators provide high-level leadership and statewide oversight of the Pyramid Model implementation in New York State, ensuring fidelity to the framework as outlined by the National Center for Pyramid Model Innovations (NCPMI). Statewide coordinators manage & facilitate the implementation of the statewide scale-up project of the Pyramid Model and are responsible for strategic planning, content development, stakeholder engagement, supervision of regional teams, and data-driven decision-making to support the social-emotional and behavioral development of young children across a variety of early childhood settings.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications :
- Master's degree from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, behavioral support, or a related field, with demonstrated leadership in systems-level implementation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Pyramid Model framework, tools, and fidelity measures (through trainings indicated on ASPIRE).
- Use of data-based decision making (system, program and child level).
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and managing subcontractors or regional teams.
- Strong curriculum development skills, with experience designing training content for diverse early childhood audiences.
- Excellent organizational, facilitation, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to effectively manage various teams and work through complex challenges across sectors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead statewide initiatives effectively.
- Proficiency in managing digital platforms, social media, and training logistics.
- Understanding of the early childhood mixed-delivery systems in New York State.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Masters degree in in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Public Administration, or a related field) from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- Statewide-level work experience within New York State, preferred.
- Verified trainer listed in ASPIRE
- Experience with the PIDS
Additional Information:
Salary Range : $95,000-$100,000(DOE)
