Location: Albany, NY Category: Research Foundation Careers Job Type: Full-time Posted On: Mon May 4 2026 Job Description:The Child Research and Study Center is an official university-based that has a longstanding, externally funded hub of interdisciplinary scholarship dedicated to improving student outcomes across academic and developmental domains. For decades, the center has sustained competitive federal, state, and foundation funding to design, evaluate, and scale evidence-based practices that include social-emotional and behavioral health with literacy development?areas widely shown to be interconnected in promoting student success . Through partnerships with schools and communities, the center advances inclusive approaches that support all learners, including students with disabilities, while contributing to the research base, professional development, and policy guidance needed to improve educational systems at scale.
This work is supported by the Preschool Development Birth through Five Initiative (PDG B-5) Grant Number 90TP0130-02-00, from the Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in contract with the New York State Council on Children and Families.
Description of Duties:
The NYS Pyramid Model Regional Coordinators will serve as regional leaders responsible for implementing the Pyramid Model framework in early childhood programs with fidelity across New York State. Each coordinator will be assigned a designated region and will provide direct support, leadership, training, and technical assistance to early childhood education (ECE) programs and community stakeholders. Coordinators will build regional capacity to support Pyramid Model implementation via data-driven strategic planning with statewide coordinators and other regional coordinators. They will actively recruit early childhood programs into the Pyramid Model implementation process, as well as recruit and supervise state-approved members of the Professional Development Network of full-time trainers, coaches and observers to work collaboratively as part of implementation support teams. Regional Coordinators will be responsible for managing all data entry requirements for the ASPIRE Registry and the Pyramid Model Implementation Data System (PIDS) for their respective region.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- State-certified member of the Professional Development Network (PDN) listed in the ASPIRE Registry
- Experience using the NYS Pyramid Model Implementation Data System (PIDS)
- Minimum of three (3) year of experience in the field of early childhood development or related field
- Minimum of three (3) year of experience providing training or technical assistance to community partners
- Minimum of three (3) year of experience using web-based applications or data systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Pyramid Model framework, tools, and fidelity measures (through trainings indicated on ASPIRE).
- Demonstrated experience of supervision
- Excellent organizational, facilitation, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to effectively manage various teams and work through complex challenges across sectors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to statewide initiatives effectively.
- Understanding of the early childhood mixed-delivery systems in New York State.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- Experience with coordinating communities of practice
- Strong curriculum development skills, with experience designing training content for diverse early childhood audiences.
- Experience in managing digital platforms, social media, and training logistics.
Additional Information:
Salary Range : $85,000-90,000 (DOE)
