Job Summary/Description:

KXII 12 is seeking an experienced, dynamic anchor for the market's longtime #1 morning newscast.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Anchor weekday morning newscast from 5-9 AM and midday newscast from 12:00-12:30 PM
- Copy edit and occasionally write scripts for morning and midday newscasts
- Help produce midday newscast and fill-in anchor as needed
- Possess great live reporting skills for field anchoring and breaking news
- Help post digital content (news stories, interview segments, social media, etc.), especially breaking news before 8 AM
- Appear at various community events that may occur outside normal shift
- Serve as mentor and teacher to young reporters and producers

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Prior anchoring and on-air reporting experience preferred.
- Please include a link to your demo reel in your application.
- The right candidate will have the ability to anchor every type of story, be willing to book and perform live in-studio interviews, help produce the morning and midday newscasts, write great copy, edit video, and occasionally anchor or report from the field.
- Must possess strong writing and information gathering skills, be a quick thinker ready for anything, and have strong ad-lib abilities.
- College degree in a related field preferred.
- Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license, and a commitment to Gray's drug-free workplace policy.
