John Newcombe Country Club, located in New Braunfels, TX, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Member Services Lead! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.John Newcombe Country Club is growing - and we are looking for a hospitality-minded leader to help us elevate the member experience at the club. This is not your average front desk position. We are creating a new hospitality ethos centered around personalized service, luxury-level member interactions, community, and connection. We are looking for someone energetic, polished, welcoming, and genuinely excited about getting to know our members and becoming part of the heartbeat of the club.
The ideal candidate has a background in hospitality, customer service, boutique fitness, hotels, restaurants, country clubs, guest relations, or luxury experiences and understands how important first impressions and personal connections truly are. You'll help guide and support our growing front desk and member services experience as the club expands offerings, updates technology, and continues enhancing the overall atmosphere and culture of the property.
Pay:
$18 - $20 per hour based on experience plus tips
You will work closely with:
- General Manager
- Membership Director
- Ownership Team
- Department Heads across the club
This role is heavily member-facing and relationship-driven.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Loves learning members' names and building relationships
- Creates a warm, welcoming environment
- Enjoys talking about upcoming events and programming
- Helps members register for classes, socials, tournaments, and experiences
- Brings positive energy into the building every day
- Notices details and helps elevate the overall feel of the club
- Leads with hospitality while also supporting daily operations and administrative tasks
Responsibilities Include:
- Greets and checks in members and guests
- Assists with court, fitness, and event registrations
- Helps members navigate club offerings and technology
- Answers phones and assists with member inquiries
- Helps with member and guest needs
- Communicates with departments regarding maintenance and janitorial issues
- Supports upcoming events and member engagement initiatives
- Assists with light administrative and operational tasks, including but not limited to: event setup and use of Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word
- Helps maintain a polished, organized, luxury-style environment
- Assists with inventory, POS systems, and daily Front Desk procedures
- Supports staff across departments at the facility
Schedule
- Full-time hours
- Morning or evening shift availability
- Some evenings and club events required

This position includes eligibility for the following benefits, subject to applicable plan terms:
