Anatomic Pathology Operations Manager
New York
Full-Time | Day Shift
We are seeking an experienced Anatomic Pathology Operations Manager to lead and coordinate daily operations across histology, cytology, and MOHS laboratories. This leadership role ensures high-quality testing, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across the department.
Schedule- Shift: Days (Monday–Friday)
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 37.5
- Weekends/Holidays: Rotating
- Salary Range: $111,376 – $167,066 annually
- Equivalent Hourly: $57.12 – $85.67
- Full benefits package + retirement plan
- Oversee operations of histology, cytology, and MOHS labs
- Lead and supervise pathology leadership staff including supervisors and cytotechnologists
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory/accreditation standards
- Manage quality control programs and reporting
- Monitor turnaround times and lab performance metrics
- Develop departmental budgets, goals, and operational plans
- Hire, train, evaluate, and mentor staff
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and leadership
- Maintain vendor relationships and oversee lab systems/software optimization
- Support a positive culture with strong customer service and staff engagement
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Technology or related science
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of hospital laboratory experience
- Licensure: Active New York State License (Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnologist, or Pathologists’ Assistant required)
- Certifications:
- Required: BLS
- Preferred: ASCP Certification
