We are actively seeking a General Adult Psychiatrist for a full-time locum tenens assignment in Reading, Pennsylvania. This is an inpatient role with a structured weekday schedule and strong interdisciplinary support—ideal for providers looking to start quickly and maintain a consistent caseload.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult inpatient admissions
• Provide daily follow-ups and discharge planning
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic psychiatric conditions using evidence-based practices
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including psychopharmacology
• Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, and patient response
• Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and de-escalation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, social work, psychology, etc.)
• Participate in treatment team meetings and care coordination
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
• Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards

• Patient Load: 18–20 patients per day
• Age Group: Adults (18+)
• Support: Full treatment team and nursing staff
• Other Providers: 12 on staff
• Mid-Level Supervision: Not required

• Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist (Adult)
• Active Pennsylvania License
• BLS Certification required
• Experience in inpatient psychiatry preferred
