This 6-month assignment (February 2, 2026 – August 2, 2026) features a flexible weekday schedule, no call, and a well-supported clinical environment. Job Responsibilities Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult inpatient admissions Manage daily follow-ups and coordinate discharge planning Diagnose and treat acute psychiatric conditions using evidence-based practices Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans, including medication management Monitor medication effectiveness and patient response Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and de-escalation when needed Collaborate closely with nursing, therapy, social work, and medical teams Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings Complete accurate and timely documentation in the EMR (WellSky) Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards Qualifications MD or DO with specialization in General Adult Psychiatry Board Eligible (Board Certified welcome) BLS certification required Active Pennsylvania license or ability to obtain Suboxone certification not required Working Hours ⏰ Schedule Type: Flexible Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM No call, no nights, no weekends Inpatient setting Skills Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills Expertise in psychopharmacologic management Ability to manage acute psychiatric presentations Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Comfort working in a structured inpatient environment EMR proficiency (WellSky preferred) About the Facility Inpatient behavioral health facility serving adult patients (18) 140 inpatient beds across multiple psychiatric units Focus on acute psychiatry, crisis stabilization, and co-occurring disorders Robust multidisciplinary care model with full nursing and therapy support Collaborative environment with multiple attending psychiatrists EMR system: WellSky Trauma level: Not applicable (psychiatric specialty facility) Compensation Pay Rate: Details can be discussed further after applying to the job posting.
