Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Louisiana-licensed Emergency Medicine physicians for a locum tenens assignment in Louisiana. This role offers the chance to work within a community hospital emergency department, providing essential care in a structured, well-supported environment with Cerner Community Works EMR and a steady patient volume.

• Back-up specialties include cardiology, gastroenterology, oncology, podiatry, and surgery

Clinical Scope

• Evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and disposition of emergency patients
• Management of medical, traumatic, and procedural presentations
• Collaboration with nursing, consulting specialties, and hospital support teams
• Documentation and order entry within Cerner EMR
• Coordination of admissions, transfers, and discharges as appropriate

Requirements

• Active Louisiana medical license
• Active Louisiana DEA and CDS registration
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine with EM experience
• ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications (unless ABEM-certified and participating in ABEM’s continuing certification)
• Minimum of 3 shifts per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent EM experience
• Board certification through ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, or American Board of Physician Specialties
