Hermann Design Group, Inc. (HDG) is seeking a talented and motivated Landscape Designer with five or more years of professional experience to join our collaborative team in either our Palm Desert or Riverside office. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of public and private projects while working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

At HDG, designers play an integral role throughout the project lifecycle - from early concept development through construction documentation and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

•        Collaborate with project managers and design teams on a variety of landscape architecture projects
•        Assist in all phases of design including site analysis, conceptual design, and construction documentation
•        Prepare presentation graphics and visualizations
•        Coordinate with consultants and internal team members
•        Produce high-quality plans, details, and graphic materials
•        Manage multiple assignments while meeting project deadlines
•        Participate in team meetings and contribute creative design solutions

Requirements

Required Qualifications

•        Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
•        Minimum 5 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or landscape design
•        Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
•        Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and SketchUp
•        Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•        Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
•        Effective time management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

•        Working knowledge of Lumion or other rendering software
•        Experience with public agency or municipal projects
•        Experience preparing construction documentation
•        Experience with public agency standards, specifications, and consultant coordination
•        Familiarity with California public agency plan preparation and submittal requirements
•        Progress toward or interest in Landscape Architecture licensure
