TheBranchManager leads the administrative team in supporting our HVAC and refrigerationTechniciansin the field. This manager works directly withServiceManager,Technicians,Dispatch,Purchasing, and other managers to ensure customer satisfaction while meeting departmental goals andobjectives.TheBranchManager will presentthemselves as a senior company representative, oftencommunicatingdirectly with customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensureaccuratecommunication of job or project status and requirements.In addition, theBranchManager has P&L ownership for their respective branch.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hasultimate responsibilityand accountabilityfor the success of the branch.
- In largerbranches,theBranchManager willbe responsible forleading and directing theDispatcherandAssistant Branch Manager (ABM); in smaller branches theBranchManager willbe responsible forleading and directing the Service Techs.
- Responsibilities include leading and directing the Dispatch andABMfunctions of the branch; this includes but is not limited to, achieving the Annual Procurement Plan (e.g., hitting targeted vendor spend discount rates) and monitoring Dispatching functions daily.
- Maintains communication withvendorsandcustomersand internalteams to ensure prompt and professional service.
- Grows branch revenue and maximizes branch profitability.
- Prioritizes customer needs by delivering high-quality serviceand engaging with partners,with an emphasis on continuously improvingthe customerexperience.
- Develops and monitors budgets, goals, andobjectivestomaintainsatisfactory P/L.
- Reviewallwork ordersfor accuracyassigned to Service Manager'sCall to Billing (C2B)queue,as well as payroll /timecardreports.
- Reviewsand approvesquotes to customers promptly.
- Communicate daily withDispatch,reporting on project information, estimated job completion time, labor hours, and parts or material used.
- Following company operationalprocesses andmanagesoperational KPIs and metrics.Work withteamto update customers, build quotes,helpprocurehard to find parts,and other administrative duties neededtoproperly runthebranch.
- Supports the Service Manager ininterviewing, screening, and evaluatingTechnicians.
- Screens,interviews, and evaluatesadministrative personnelto meet workload demands.
- Provides oversight in schedulingTechnicians(day,night, and weekends)to meet service demands and customer expectations.
- Responsible for staff performance appraisals, reviews, and setting improvement goalsfor their direct reportsper company requirements.
- Complieswithall applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and established work practices;ensuresappropriate employeesafety training and compliance is completed.
- Supports theServiceManager in managingservice teamsas needed.
- Performsallother duties as assigned.
