Overview

Papago Golf Course is seeking a driven individual for a part-time Golf Shop Attendant role in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused public golf environment. The position supports golf shop operations, guest service, retail activity, and daily club operations.

Experience Required

• Previous golf course or retail experience preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of golf terminology and etiquette
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable using POS systems and tee sheet software
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Energetic and engaging personality
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to multitask in a busy public golf environment
• Passion for golf and hospitality

Essential Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a welcoming and professional manner
• Check in golfers, manage tee sheets, and process payments accurately
• Provide information regarding course policies, rates, programs, and events
• Answer phone calls and assist with reservations and inquiries
• Assist with tournament and event check-in when needed
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing golf shop
• Assist guests with merchandise selection and product knowledge
• Process retail transactions using point-of-sale systems
• Receive, tag, and restock inventory
• Support promotional displays and seasonal merchandising efforts
• Coordinate with outside services staff to ensure smooth tee time flow
• Communicate course conditions and updates to guests
• Maintain cleanliness and professionalism of the golf shop
• Assist with junior programs, leagues, and club events as needed
