Overview

Pine Barrens Golf Club is an 18 hole private facility nestled in the pinelands of Jackson, New Jersey. The golf course has a fun, good natured, and energetic membership. We are currently looking for individuals wishing to work in the pro shop to help assist in the running of daily golf shop operations.

Experience Required

This is an hourly, part time position. The individual will be asked to work multiple days during the week and some weekend days if possible. This can be discussed later. Basic golf knowledge and knowledge of golf shop operations is a plus. Previous experience working in a golf course environment would be preferred. Private club experience preferred. Applicant needs to be pleasant, personable, willing to be part of a functional team, trustworthy, and agreeable with customers and fellow coworkers.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include assisting with daily golf shop operations. These may include but are not limited to:

• Operation of tee sheet on the computer to make tee times for member and guest groups.
• Daily merchandise sales.
• Operation of the pro shop during tournaments.
• Assisting coordination of golf operations between pro shop and outside member services personnel.
• While this may be rare, assisting with or notifying outside personnel of pace of play issues on the golf course.
• Organization and display of merchandise.
• Assisting the Professional staff with other duties in and around the pro shop.
