Description
Phoenix Country Club is seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven professional for private club fitness center. Responsibilities include greeting members and assisting with fitness center needs, answers phones and member inquiries, schedule training and other appointments, perform minor custodial duties such as wiping fitness equipment and perform opening and closing duties when needed.Position Details:
Hours: Part-time, Fridays 2:00-7:00pm, Saturdays 12:00-4:00pm
Compensation: $16.50/hour
Essential Duties:
- Maintains cleanliness of facility operations according to established daily maintenance procedures.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of department programs, events, and activities. Answers guest questions regarding such programs.
- Assists members with basic equipment use and general questions.
- Completes checklist for opening, closing, and daily procedures.
- Takes direction from Fitness Director and Assistant Director.
- Monitors fitness floor to ensure a safe and positive environment.
- Provides safe environment within facilities and activities.
- Processes fitness reservations as needed.
- Cleans and sanitizes fitness equipment and common areas.
- Keeps towels stocked and readily available
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
No prior experience or training required, but fitness experience a plus
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, stoops, kneels, crouches, balances, uses arms and hands. Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds.
Certificates/Licenses:
CPR and First Aid Certification
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
