Pinetop Country Club in Pinetop, AZ is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time seasonal Events Lead! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Summary
This is a seasonal position with an expected duration of six months or less. Primarily will work hand-in-hand with our Catering and Events Manager to execute an exceptional experience for all banqueted events.
Essential Duties:
- Contacts customers face-to-face, by telephone and/or email, to confirm, coordinate, and update details for scheduled events and or parties
- Details each group's event needs which may include but is not limited to menu planning, mealtime, and room set
- Conducts facility tours and sight visits for groups
- Coordinates with Marketing & Sales department as well as Food and Beverage department to ensure specified arrangements are carried out
- Completes projects as directed in relation to the area of assignment
- Assists in the coordination of department members that may include, but is not limited to: Servers, Hosts, Set-up
- Assists in monitoring business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, and costs
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction
- Assists manager in communicating any changes or new policies and procedures to the event
- Regular and reliable
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ensures accurate and timely invoicing for all services rendered, to include recording events on the POS system
Education/Experience:
- Associate's degree (AA) and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Demands:
- Frequently stands, walks, sits, talks and hears; regularly uses hands; regularly reaches with hands and arms; occasionally climbs, balances stoops, kneels, crouches, tastes or smells
- Frequently lifts up to 20 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
Environment/Noise:
- Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions
- Noise level is moderate
Certificates/Licenses:
- Valid Driver's License may be required
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)
- Knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and POS
- Knowledge of Delphi
- Prior supervisory and management
