Description
With over 35 years in business, with Delta-T Group has built a reputation for referring highly qualified professionals for rewarding short and long-term independent contract opportunities.Our Client is seeking a DSP/Residential Aide to provide support and instruction to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a group home in the Valley Stream, NY area.
Compensation: $17-$19 per hour
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
*Promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
*Ensure all activities are designed to foster growth to each individual's highest level of accomplishment.
*Ensure all care and services are delivered in a climate of normalization, care and concern.
*Assist Consumers with daily nutrition and their medications.
*Transport Consumers to appointments (as needed)
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
*Valid Driver's License (not required but helpful)
*Ability to complete and pass mandated clearances
*Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent
*Minimum of one (1) year experience working with the DDD population
*Must be comfortable toileting.

*Compensated $17.00 to $19.00 per hour
Credentials Needed:
*CPR
*First Aid
*SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention)
*AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel) not required but helpful.
