Description
WOOD TV8 is looking for a new livestream Producer/Host/Reporter to help create engaging content for our WOOD TV+ app and woodtv.com. This person will report to the CTV executive producer and will be asked to host or co-host shows, conduct interviews, set up interviews for reporters or anchors, host livestreams, run equipment for others, write web stories, provide basic editing of content, create social posts to promote shows and help evolve the WOOD TV+ product to enhance our audience.Position Responsibilities:
- On-air personality with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to edit CTV content using Premiere Pro. This includes editing for shows, bites for social channels and editing for special projects.
- Operate OBS/vMix or similar software.
- Contribute content ideas and provide support to others in bringing their content ideas to fruition.
- Create engaging content.
- Set up interviews and conduct interviews.
- Host breaking news and event live streams for woodtv.com and WOOD TV+.
- Create video on demand from live stream and show content, using those clips to enhance WordPress reports and generate social media interest.
- Write web stories for woodtv.com from WOOD TV+ content and interviews.
- Fill in as a web content producer when needed, including holiday shifts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skill/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, broadcast media or related field.
- Previous CTV experience or podcast or YouTube creator experience preferred.
- Experience with OBS/vMix or similar software and ability to teach others how to use.
- Have excellent news writing skills and judgement.
- Strong communication skills.
- Be highly organized.
- Understand digital and streaming audiences.
- Have strong, charismatic on-air presence.
- Be able to ad-lib in dynamic situations.
- Be able to troubleshoot with minimal oversight.
- Some experience with camera equipment .
- Flexibility with schedule changes and ability to adapt quickly depending on what is most relevant in the moment.
Work Hours: This is a full-time position. You may be asked to occasionally work weekends, early morning or nightside hours depending on WOOD TV+ and woodtv.com needs. This position also works some holidays.
