About the Role
The Staff Psychiatrist provides psychiatric assessment, treatment, and clinical oversight for youth receiving services within assigned programs. This role also offers opportunities for leadership, collaboration, and program development under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and establish DSM-5 and ICD-10 diagnoses
Provide ongoing psychiatric treatment and medication management
Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams and participate in treatment planning reviews
Lead clinical discussions and support quality client care during Clinical Review Board meetings
Complete clinical documentation in compliance with agency, accreditation, and regulatory standards
Coordinate care with medical specialists and allied health professionals as needed
Support program development, staff education, and clinical leadership initiatives
Requirements
Completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency
Completion of a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship
Current Oregon medical license or eligibility
DEA certification including Schedule II prescribing authority
Minimum 2 years of experience working with child and adolescent psychiatric populations
Preferred
Experience in community mental health or day treatment settings
Strong collaborative and leadership skills
Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care
