Job Summary
The Chief Investment Officer for Harrison Financial Services has broad oversight for the investment discipline of the firm. This critical role has responsibility for setting and implementing the investment strategy for the business and works closely with our advisors and cross-functional planning teams to ensure the investment objectives for our clients are met, while ensuring all regulatory and compliance protocols are followed. The CIO is responsible for engaging in external thought leadership to elevate and represent Harrison Financial Services’ capabilities. This role also leads the investment practice for the firm including research and developing product strategy to support the vision of the firm. The CIO has oversight of the capital and expense budgets pertaining to Harrison Financial Services investment practice.
General Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive investment solutions and services for all Harrison Financial Services clients including multi-family office prospects, and ultra-high net worth individuals/families.
Collaborate with lead advisors and planning teams.
Own investment policy development with a particular focus on portfolio design and implementation.
Maintain a framework for identifying product gaps/needs, assessing solution alternatives, projecting estimates of utilization and monitoring/measuring results.
Engage in client and prospect presentations.
Maintain a current awareness of new investment strategies and instruments through regular engagement with product and portfolio research.
Role Requirements
Extensive experience in leading through influence, negotiations, and holistic wealth management.
Knowledge of investment terminology, characteristics of various marketplaces, laws, and regulations.
Leadership and organizational skills required to set goals for the investment practice, to determine the resources needed to execute those goals.
Advanced communications skills, including navigating media opportunities.
