The Second Wind Behavioral Health Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPA/CRPA-P) to join our growing team. This is a meaningful opportunity for individuals with lived recovery experience who are passionate about helping others build strength, hope, and stability in their own recovery journey.

The Second Wind Behavioral Health Services is a community-focused substance use disorder program committed to helping individuals overcome substance use challenges and rebuild their lives. Our team provides recovery-focused care that is compassionate, respectful, and centered around each person’s individual goals.
What You’ll Do
As a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate, you will provide peer support and recovery-focused services to individuals navigating substance use challenges. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing one-on-one peer support to individuals in recovery
- Using your lived recovery experience to encourage, motivate, and empower others
- Helping clients identify recovery goals and connect with appropriate resources
- Supporting client engagement in treatment and recovery services
- Advocating for client needs in a respectful and recovery-oriented manner
- Collaborating with clinical, case management, and care teams to support coordinated care
- Promoting recovery-oriented thinking, wellness, and self-advocacy
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services provided
Qualifications
- Certified as a CRPA or CRPA-P in New York State
- Genuine passion for supporting others in their recovery journey
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with clients
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong documentation and organizational skills preferred
