- Business Litigation Attorney 4-10 Years' Experience (Indianapolis)
Description
Business Litigation Attorney — Paganelli Law Group
We are a full-service Indiana business law firm with offices in Indianapolis and Bloomington, and we are looking for an experienced early to mid-career business litigation attorney to join the team in our Indianapolis office.
This is not the right job for everyone. If you want to grind out hours in your office and bill your way to partner in ten years, there are very good firms that fit the bill. We are looking for a roll-up-your-sleeves self-starter who wants to do serious work with people who don't take themselves seriously, to be treated like a professional, and to actually enjoy coming to work (most likely in bluejeans on any given Tuesday).
Our culture is built around two ideas: quality law and quality life. We invest in our people, we celebrate wins, and we believe that the best lawyers are made through genuine mentorship and coaching, not by leaving people to figure it out on their own. If you have been in a firm where you felt like a number, you will notice the difference quickly.
The Role
You will work closely with your fellow litigators and our support staff to manage real cases from early strategy through resolution. You will get to handle significant portions of cases on your own while working as part of a close-knit team. We will look to you to spot issues early and speak up to share your ideas.
On a daily basis you'll be doing real lawyering: drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, and briefs; handling discovery and taking depositions; going to court and mediations; and working with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
This is not a remote position. We believe in flexibility — about a third of your time can be worked outside the office if you want, but we also believe that mentorship, teamwork, and real collaboration require people to be in the same room most of the time. If you are looking for a fully or largely remote role, we are probably not the right fit.
Our billable hour expectation is 1,440 per year. Most firms our size demand significantly more. We set that number deliberately because we think the best work comes from people who have a life outside the office.
What we are looking for:
Four to ten years of business litigation experience
Indiana bar admission or eligibility
Someone who is curious, direct, and genuinely enjoys the practice of law
Compensation: $135,000 to $155,000, commensurate with experience.
To apply: Submit your resumé, cover letter, and writing sample on our website at paganelligroup.com/careers
