Job Summary:
The Banquets Manager/Event Concierge is responsible for ensuring the seamless
execution of events as it relates to food and beverage operations and event support,
working in close collaboration with the Director of the Convention Center and the Executive
Chef. This role is responsible for upholding exceptional service standards, enhancing
client experiences, and driving operational efficiency. The Banquets Manager/Event
Concierge will actively oversee service teams, partner with the Convention Center Director
and the Executive Chef to ensure culinary excellence and superior customer service, while
implementing strategies to support revenue growth and profitability. A focus on safety,
regulatory compliance, and delivering a high caliber client experience is essential to
exceeding expectations and supporting the property.
Day-to-Day:
- Success in this role is defined by maintaining exceptional standards in service,
cleanliness, and safety while fostering strong employee relations and development.
This role supports the Convention Center Director and Chef in achieving annual
sales, profitability, and operational goals, ensuring the convention center
consistently exceeds member expectations through strong leadership. - Maintain exceptional member and client relations by delivering a high-quality
environment, service execution, and guest experience that consistently exceeds
expectations. - Foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on accountability, mutual
respect, client satisfaction, and revenue performance. - Lead, train, and develop banquet service teams to deliver exceptional service,
including onboarding, ongoing training, daily line-ups, and service recovery
practices. - Serve as the day of event primary point of contact ensuring seamless execution,
proactive communication, and eAective handling of client needs and last-minute
changes. - Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, culinary, and support teams to plan and
execute events, including customized menu development and innovative service
enhancements. - Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements,
maintaining a safe and high-quality operating environment. - Oversee financial and administrative functions as it relates to banquet events,
including expense control, labor management, scheduling, payroll accuracy, and
event billing/invoicing. - Manage and oversee event day logistics, including room setups, bar service, linens
placement, glass, china and silver placement and overall front-of-house readiness. - Responsible for placing and tracking orders for linen, glass, china and silver.
- Support culinary execution by coordinating menu delivery and maintaining
necessary inventory levels for eAicient operations. - Represent the operation as an event host/concierge, welcoming clients and
ensuring a professional, polished on-site experience. - Support other activities in the Convention Center or Café, as needed.

Requirements
Required :
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Food and Beverage in a hotel, convention center or
country club property setting.
Preferred :
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Preferred certifications include Food Handlers, Alcohol Safety, TABC, and CPR.
- Proficiency in computer skills including spreadsheet software, strong leadership,
and effective communication skills.
