Klarquist Sparkman, LLP seeks to hire a F/T Biotech Patent Attorney for our office in Portland, Oregon. Successful candidate will research drafting and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications in the biotechnology practice area utilizing comprehensive knowledge of prior art. Conduct legal and procedural research; analysis of scientific and technical documents. Provide legal opinions regarding patent validity and potential infringement issues and freedom to operate; provide legal counsel regarding management of patent portfolios to inventors, patent owners, and patent examiners. Travel to conferences and client visits in the US and internationally approximately 10% of the time per year.
