Description
Staffworks Group is seeking a hardworking and dependable Asphalt Plant Laborer to join our team. This position supports daily asphalt plant operations by assisting with maintenance, cleanup, material handling, and general labor duties in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties around the asphalt plant and yard
- Assist plant operators and loader operators with daily operations
- Shovel asphalt, gravel, and other materials as needed
- Clean and maintain plant equipment, conveyors, and work areas
- Assist with plant maintenance and repairs
- Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA/MSHA regulations
- Identify and report safety hazards or equipment issues
- Work in outdoor environments and around heavy equipment
- Support crew members to ensure efficient plant production
Requirements
- Previous construction, asphalt, manufacturing, or labor experience preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and shoveling
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance required
- Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends when needed
- Willingness to learn asphalt plant operations and equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in asphalt plants, paving, or construction environments
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Heavy equipment experience is a plus
- MSHA certification is a plus
- CDL is a plus
