Job Purpose
The Area Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of heavy equipment across multiple locations. This role involves overseeing maintenance operations, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition to support the company's operational goals
What you will do...
Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure timely and efficient repairs and servicing of equipment.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
Maintenance Operations:
- Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, cranes, and other machinery.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are documented accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the operations team to prioritize equipment repairs and minimize downtime.
Budget & Inventory Management:
- Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for parts and services as needed.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture within the maintenance team.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and budget status.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement corrective actions based on data analysis and feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in the heavy equipment industry.
Skills

Pay Range: $105k - $115k, full benefits, & company truck
