Position OverviewJoin our dedicated team as a compassionate Sonography / Ultrasound Technologist, where your role will be pivotal in delivering outstanding imaging services. You will operate advanced ultrasound machinery to carry out vital diagnostic procedures, work hand-in-hand with a collaborative group of healthcare providers, and offer timely, precise imaging that provides reassurance to patients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct various ultrasound examinations such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout examinations by clearly explaining procedures
- Work in close partnership with radiologists and other referring physicians to ensure high-quality imaging
- Manage and maintain ultrasound equipment, promptly addressing any malfunctions
- Accurately document procedures and manage patient records within our electronic system
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging practices
Qualifications
- A degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field, either an Associate's or Bachelor's
- Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography training program is preferred
Certifications Necessary
- A current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) coverage is preferred
