Do you enjoy analyzing data and translating how it affects the community? Elevate Rapid City is hiring its first Research & Data Coordinator to take our programs and data research center to the next level. This position will research economic, housing, and community trends to support Community Development programming and initiatives. To be successful in this role you will have experience analyzing data, understanding local, state, and federal trends, and reporting results.

• The Research & Data Coordinator supports Community Development programming and initiatives
• Conduct research on economic, housing, and community trends and utilize tables, graphs, fact sheets, and written reports to summarize
• Assist clients and staff members with data requests and research needs
• Continuously research initiatives in economic development, housing, and workforce to integrate into Elevate programs
• Research and assist the Community Development Manager with applying for various grant opportunities
• Maintain program documentation, data entry, and result summaries used for presentations
• Track and perform follow-up with program participants and grant recipients
• Assist with content development and communication in the preparation of community development events
• Maintain relevant databases, monthly indicators, and economic reports
• Other reasonable activities not named, which will be required by management/leadership

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Economics, Social Science, or Political Science, preferred
• Experience analyzing data and reporting results
• Ability to analyze data and translate the cause and effect of that data
• Understanding of local, state, and federal trends and programs
• Ability to identify client needs and challenges, with exceptional follow-up
• Strong interpersonal and reporting skills
• Able to exercise independent judgment and initiative to meet deadlines and coordinate projects
• Technical proficiency working in Microsoft Office programs and databases
• Experience with software such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, or ArcGIS preferred
