Bottling Equipment Operator 2nd Shift

Role Responsibilities

  • Receive, count, verify, and properly warehouse finished goods and materials via documentation, SAP and Work Management Systems. Consolidate or enter into remnant room loose bottles. Inventory remnant room.
  • Ability to identify bottles, cases, and materials by mnemonic, US #, Batch #, and Material #.
  • Prepare packages, including shipping records, according to requests, orders, etc. in a timely manner. This includes 3rd party shipping documentation.
  • Re-case or repair damaged and/ or broken cases. Maintain accurate records of bottles and cases used for breakage and/ or samples including tracking and maintaining needed raw material supplies.
  • Document shipping information dates and routings.
  • Operate a standup forklift in a safe and efficient manner including conducting and reporting daily safety inspections.
  • Read the operator's manual and follow the instructions therein and obey all safety instructions developed in connection with the forklift equipment.
  • Must manage all incoming/outgoing inventories and put in proper location including main conveyor system moves, completing SAP and WM transactions.
  • Must be able to remove cases from K line and to handle pre-wrap operation.
  • Must be able to handle cases to normal pallet or unit size.
  • Select cases from inventory and apply to orders with proper address and description.
  • Pick and transport orders from the CBW or any other area as necessary.
  • Fill orders as indicated.
  • Set up lines for production.
  • Handle and monitoring video jet/laser imprinting of products.
  • Ability to handle all cases during production concerning standard unit height/weight.
  • Operator must effectively and efficiently receive accurate production counts per pallet and perform correct SAP and WM transaction.
  • Operator must be able to distinguish items produced and read address stenciled on case. Must tape the top row of cases on all pallets dispatched from the lowerator and release only secure and stable loads from the lowerator. Place locator tape on pallets dispatched to the Shipping Dept., including pallets loaded into the conveyor by other forklift operators; dispatch all inventory to inventory side of lowerator.
  • Operator must be able to efficiently operate electric forklifts.
  • Operator must be able to operate Lowerator and stretchwrap machines. Must be able to run all pallets per 8-hour shift. Remove torn or damaged cases for reconditioning with proper SAP and WM transactions. Damaged pallets are not to be dispatched and accurately moved in the SAP, WM systems. Operator must be familiar with the location of all Beam Customers' case goods in the Shipping Department. Ability to be certified for your department (if applicable)
  • Sanitation duties to keep working area clean and organized always.
  • Safety is everyone's responsibility; identify risks and report violations, near misses, or injuries immediately.
  • Knowledge of GMP's, safety standards, quality standards and demonstrated ability to react and communicate effectively to issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Average to above average attendance and performance/safety records
  • PI Predictive Index Survey evaluates behavioral traits (if required)
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable)


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Display a team work attitude
  • Demonstrate the ability to read, write, and comprehend English with understanding as it relates to job tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to use hand held scanner within system requirements.
  • Ability to perform math functions.
  • Ability to learn SAP system scanners and use information to scan and assign pallet locations.


PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS

Be able to physically perform all aspects of the position. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Lift 70 lbs. on a constant basis and 60 lbs. on an occasional basis, from floor to shoulder height. When situations arise where you are required to lift more than 50 lbs., It is recommended you use any Company provided equipment that you are qualified to operate, or the lift should be performed by two employees.
  • Climb a minimum of two flights of stairs in succession.
  • Able to bend and stoop constantly.
  • Must be able to work in extremely hot, cold and dusty conditions.
  • Ability to report to work and stay for duration of the day.
  • Have acceptable (or corrected) visual acuity and depth perception. Have acceptable (or corrected) hearing.
