Practice Information

One BC/BE adult psychiatrist to join a collegial group of 6 other psychiatrists for a general adult inpatient psychiatric unit
Inpatient weeks (7 consecutive days):  initial evaluations of inpatients being admitted to the unit, daily follow up with those patients, discharges, call (every 3 days, only while working on the inpatient unit), and hospital consults  (every 3 days, average is about 1-2 consults). There are 33 beds on the unit, split amongst 3 doctors for an average of 11 inpatients per doctor, when full
Non-inpatient weeks (1-2 days): staffing and evaluating patients in our Access Center (psychiatric ER)
Employment position with the Intermountain Medical Group

We take a team-based approach to treatment and while on the inpatient unit there is support from our medical nurse practitioners 7 days per week, social workers who provide additional therapy to patients and interface with families/safety plans, case management who helps to arrange follow up, and experienced nurses, occupational therapists, etc. While working in the access center, there is support from crisis workers, nursing staff, and the ER physicians/NPs.


Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
S. ACGME Residency
