Job Description - Remote position (worldwide is acceptable)

Atlas Language Services – Atlas Language Services is a turnkey multilingual live event & language service company.  Providing professional linguists to support language inclusion and equality for both written and spoken needs.  This position will support our scheduling/calendar department with sourcing professional linguists on a case-by-case basis for both onsite and virtual appointments.  The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and high-quality communication skills in English. While experience in the language industry and knowledge of various languages, cultures, etc. are a plus, it is not required.  Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) and the ability to quickly adapt and problem solve is desirable. Additionally, the ability to be flexible and self-motivated is key.

What you’ll Do:

  • Collaborate and assign the appropriate linguists for each project while keeping our profit margin goals in place.
  • Confirm appointments with both clients and vendors each day.
  • Provide any links or material to vendors for their appointments as needed.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of our customers and the market at-large throughout their lifecycle, and advocate for solutions based on their needs and pain points. 
  • Offer insights about customer engagement and propose features that have a meaningful impact on growth and engagement within our organization. 
  • Review and analyze project/client need, recommend solutions, and work with the client from start to finish.
  • Use the telephone as an outward solution tool, in addition to answering incoming calls.
  • Generate detailed documentation, communicate these requirements to the appropriate teams and ensure timely cross-functional execution. 
  • Develop deep relationships with clients/vendors and ensure there is alignment with the wider strategy of the organization.

Typical Work ConditionsWork is performed remotely. Employee frequently interacts directly with staff members throughout the company and clients during the workday in both verbal and written forms. Atlas will provide all required equipment including computer, headset, monitor, etc. and requires candidates to have fast, dependable internet connectivity.  Atlas offers a professional yet fun culture where personal growth and development are encouraged and supported.  We are a small organization and often spend the bulk of the day live on MS Teams internally.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).  Typical working hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm CST (Chicago), Monday through Friday, however, after onboarding, actual hours may vary. Work hours are dictated by the schedule and may occasionally include days which exceed 8 hours and/or evening and weekend hours from time to time.
